Two month Weigh In

Tuesday, June 23rd was our two-month weigh-in. Our little princess tipped the scales at 8 pounds 4 ounces. She gained 16 ounces in 13 days!
"En Vitro" means "in glass." After two conception trips to Tokyo, making a baby didn't turn out to be the kind of adventure they thought. Still an adventure, though.. Our second IVF cycle, a natural frozen embryo transfer resulted in a twin pregnancy. Our babies were born at 37 weeks, 5 days gestation and we are enjoying them immensely. Read on...

About Us - Updated!
We are 35-year olds Carlos and Gabby, parents of boy/girl twins, conceived through IVF. We did IVF because we both happen to be carriers of Cystic Fibrosis. It was news to us when we found out after routine fertility workups.
Because of our 1 in 4 chance of having a child affected with CF, We started our family with IVF/ICSI and PGD. Our twins were from our second IVF cycle, a frozen natural cycle. i love comments and questions and all the blogosphere friends that I have followed through this journey.
